Important usage note
- Our warranties assume seasonal use, except where noted for permanently installed products like Chromaglow.
- Keeping any seasonal-use product installed for more than 120 consecutive days in a 12‑month period voids the warranty.
Coverage by purchase date
Products purchased on or after 2024‑04‑01
- String Lights: 5 years of seasonal use
- Bulbs: 5 years of seasonal use
- Electrical wiring and accessories: 5 years of seasonal use
- Floodlights: 5 years of seasonal use
- Twinkly Smart Products: 2 years of seasonal use
- All other items, including non–Big Star Lights branded products: 120 days (one season) unless otherwise specified
Permanently installed products purchased on or after 2024‑04‑01
- Chromaglow Pro: 10 years or 100,000 hours of year‑round use, whichever comes first
- Chromaglow: 5 years of year‑round use
- Stretch String Mini Lights: 2 years of year‑round use
Products purchased before 2024‑04‑01
- String Lights: 1 year of seasonal use
- Bulbs: 2 years of seasonal use
- Electrical wiring and accessories: 3 years of seasonal use
- Floodlights: 5 years of seasonal use
- Twinkly Pro Products: 2 years of seasonal use
- Chromaglow (24V Version) (excluding controller): 3 years of year‑round use
- Chromaglow Bluetooth Controller (24V Version): 1 year of year‑round use
- All other items: 120 days (one season)
What the warranty covers
- Defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use during the coverage period for the product category above.
What the warranty does not cover
- Damage from improper installation, misuse, modification, or use outside the intended purpose
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect function
- Products installed beyond 120 consecutive days when designated for seasonal use
Remedies
If a warranty claim is approved, we will provide one of the following:
- A replacement of the defective item if it is in stock
- Store credit of equivalent value when the original item is unavailable or out of stock
Note: If the exact item is discontinued or unavailable, store credit will be provided instead of a replacement.
