We wish it was twice the size as our trees are very large. Love the strap though, good for branches, although our trees are very old, tall and the branches cannot be reached. We love the lights!! They are fantastic.

Loving our new lights!
I really like the white colour of these 'warm white' lights - the 'warm white' is not too yellow and not too clear white - it's a nice and soft glow but still bright CLEAN white colour. I put up 10 strings of this warm white and it looks really nice and bright lighting up the front of our home. It's easy to attach lights to each other or to the optional attachments. This is my first time doing a big Christmas display outside our home and I have to say it was pretty easy. The cables are not that bulky or heavy - they attach to each other easily. Living in Canada we've already had days of snow and even freezing rain and they are holding up great. I bought 10 strings of light and a few extension cables and am going to buy a few more strings of light next Christmas to make it look even better for next time! I wanted to invest in these as I heard they will last longer and I was tired of throwing out old strings of light that would only last a few years OR half the string would not work. I like the connectors are all air tight so no water gets in. It's only been a couple of months but so far really happy with them...hoping they will last for many many seasons!

Perfect for the Task!
I'm thinking about building a 14-metre wire-frame Christmas decoration. It would be reminiscent of decorations used by our city decades ago and remembered fondly by long-term residents. It would definitely be unique in the yard. I would need bulb spacing every two inches. I tested rope lights; I tested typical LED string lights; nothing really captured the old look. And one bulb failure could mean extensive maintenance. Then I bought a box of these multi-colour G30 bulbs to use as a sample kit. In black wire sockets, they would be absolutely perfect! I think I've found a local company to build the wire frames. Just two hurdles to go: convincing my wife and winning a lottery to pay for it!

Finally found the best Christmas lights.
I have thrown out too many strings of Christmas lights to count. This year at Crystal Cove in Tofino B.C. I saw the lights going up and had to remark on the brightness of the individual mini lights. The head gardener showed me how individual strings were connected and every thing was sealed to the weather and I was sold. Then I learned the distributing company was in BC and my order was placed. I started with 8 strings and the brilliant addition to our display was immediate. I will be placing an order in the new year to add to next year's display. Thank you Big Star Lights.😊

Great with small caveat
We put the Rockefeller line up on our 35 ft blue spruce out front. It looks spectacular and we've received so many compliments. The lights are bright, the colors really pop, and the twinkle adds the perfect amount of visual interest. Docking a star due to what I believe is a manufacturing defect (or oversight). Given the odd number of colors and bulbs in each line, the pattern ends up being inconsistent. There were a number of connection points where the strings end, and begin, with the same color, so you end up with doubles right next to each other, or the same colors one or two bulbs away from each other. It ends up throwing off an otherwise stunning look. The $15 lights from the department store can achieve a consistent look across multiple strings. I am genuinely surprised that that was not the case with these. Still love them. Just be aware.

Warm White Not Very Warm
These are described as Warm White. I cannot image what the brighter version of white would look like. The whole reason I resisted getting outdoor LED lights was because early versions absorbed light as opposed to brightening up a space. Granted, these are more “twinkly” than the early versions of LED’s but a more golden glow would be appreciated. Otherwise, the lights have lasted now halfway through their second winter outdoors. I like that they are waterproof which should make them last longer than traditional outdoor lights that don’t last long. Just wish the golden hue could be improved.

Needs Coaxial Connection!
Love these for the most part, but really needs the coaxial connection most of the other lights have. It’s hard to integrate this with the rest of the system when you mostly using the coaxial connections with the rest of your products. Also with you could simplify ordering this with the bulbs and strings as a combo order without ordering Eve thing separate and hoping one didn’t fumble thr order and get sent the wrong thing. But, pretty happy otherwise.

These work just as great as the conical shaped bulbs but they don’t have as much variability in the brightness that the faceted shaped ones give. The many angles of the facets makes for a greater variance but these ones are more of the same brightness around the whole bulb. It’s a little more subtle in the look

Don’t go to Canadian Tire (every year) to buy lights. Buy everything from bigstarlights and yes they are but more expensive but you will save $$ over the years and they can be custom cut to size. I used the magnetic clips which worked 100%.

I had always promised myself that if I could find decorative lights that would work more than a couple of seasons, I would be willing to pay accordingly, instead of filling the landfill year after year. Big Star delivers in spades! I have them for both year-round tree lighting, on at dusk 365 days, and for Christmas roofline lighting (C9 bulbs). They have not faded, cracked, or any other type of weathering, and they certainly have not stopped working in 4 years. I bought the G20 bulbs in warm white and I am extremely impressed. I was tired of replacing my cheap department store lights every two years and was frustrated with all of the plastic waste this causes. The G20 bulbs were very easy to screw into the E12 socket power cord. Both the bulbs and the cord feel much sturdier than the ones you can buy at the local hardware store, and I expect that they will last a lot longer as well. I was worried that the G20 bulbs might be too small, but I am very glad that I went with this size (over the G30). They are the perfect size for my small house and are not overpowering yet still very bright. The warm white colour is perfect. I've attached a photo which shows a close-up of the bulbs to show the brightness and colour (with bonus cat for size reference) as well as a picture of the lights on my house at dusk (you can see that even with a bit of sunlight left the lights illuminate the house nicely).

I bought these lights 5 years ago and they're still working great. The lights I bought from the box stores before would die after 1 or 2 years. I'm so glad I found lights that are built well and last. I run them all winter and have them on a photocell, so they turn on when it is dark outside. They're getting a lot of hours. It also gets really cold where I am in Alberta and still no issues. Plus, the gentle twinkling adds an extra magic, i love it. Keep up the good work.

3M clips
The clips have 3m tape already applied. With the use of 3m adhesive primer they will stick to most any surface. The multiple mounting positions are nice as are the pre countersunk hole for attaching with screws. I just installed these on a commercial building and so far, they are great. They have a 5-year warrantee. I gave 4 stars but will raise it to 5 if they last that long.

Clip disappointment
Promises that these clips should help to make my pro-lights look professional were short lived. I was just starting to hang my lights on my gutters only to find that these clips only go on one way and the light have to be pointed straight up and will fly off with the slightest wind! Best Lights I have Owned
I bought a set each of Orange and Purple, Warm White and a set of Christmas colours for lighting up our back yard. We have only used the Halloween Orange and Purple and recently switch out the bulbs for Warm White, but they look awesome in our back yard. It makes it a lot brighter taking the dogs out. The lights along the fence are G30 warm white lights using E17 socket power cord.

I was worried they wouldn't be bright enough with the row of lights on the top of the house and the street light right in front of our house. But they are plenty, bright and very visible. I love the red and green combo. The green is very bright and the red is bright too but less in your face which I like. So for that reason I would probably order more lights that are just red. They have just a wonderful glow to them. But I will also order more of the red and green combo.
