Easy, No-Tool Installation

Installing the Chromaglow Pro Cable Clip is straightforward and efficient. Simply slide the clip up and under an asphalt shingle until the six aluminum barbs grip the underside of the roofing material, creating a secure anchor. The included UV-resistant zip tie can be attached through the slotted loop in either a vertical or horizontal position to match the direction of your cable run.

Considerations: There are six robust aluminum barbs on the body of each clip. These barbs embed, or ‘bite’, into the asphalt shingle creating a semi-permanent anchor that can be used for many years. Installing the clip on cold roofing can minimize barb engagement. We recommend performing the installation before the roofing material becomes cold and hard. If cold weather installations are necessary, barb engagement can be promoted by quickly warming the shingle with a heat gun in the clip location. Alternatively, slightly wiggle the clip back and forth after it has been pushed up into position. This helps the barbs to sink into the underside of the asphalt shingle.
